Warnings from times past

TSUNAMI WARNINGS WRITTEN IN STONE
In Aneyoshi Japan it is said that this 10feet high stones were erected by ancestors 600 years ago to serve as a warning for future settlers not to exceed the tsunami stones as it was said that previous occurences never exceeded this point.

It is said that residents around this vicinity were able to keep their little community safe from the last tsunami that wiped away hundreds of miles of coast. Its amazing that the water stopped 300feet below the stone.
The tsunami stones are warnings across generations, telling descendants to avoid the same suffering of their ancestors,” said Itoko Kitahara, a specialist in the history of natural disasters at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto. “Some places heeded these lessons of the past, but many didn’t.”

This makes me wonder.......why didnt our ancestors warn us about our leaders? did`nt they forsee the future or they just couldn`t be bothered right?

Todays Fashion

I have always had a fascination for shoes especially long heels. It always just seems to know how to flatter your curves, posture and personality. Trust me you are not yet a lady till you know how to wear heels.

In a bid to wear heels some ladies get it so wrong though. I dont believe a volumptious woman prefarably wearing a size 22 has any business wearing stillettos. A pair of platforms or wedges maybe, but not 6inches.
Over the years different styles of shoes have rocked the fashion industry sending women rushing to stores to keep up with their fashion icons and celebs. I bet you all remember the platforms, gladiators sandals, wedges, peeptoe sandals to mention a few. Here are  somethings i have come to find out about picking out the right pair of shoes for an occassion or a particular outfit.
1. Some shoes wont just fit everything in your wardrobe. some shoes are not meant to be worn with evening wears while others can only be worn with mini outfits et all.Its sometimes awkward to see a lady wearing an ankle boot underneath an eveining dress is definatelt hilarious.
2. Why on earth will you wear a pair of shoes with fur in a country as hot as Nigeria for Gods sake some shoes are simple part of europes winter collection you need to realise this.
3. There are some shoes not appropriate for the office, girls some of you wear shoes that make you look like freaks.
4.comfort is key.Never buy or wear shoes that you cant walk in.A lady must walk with her head up and put one step before the other.you should practice how to walk on a straight line every once in a while.
Take some notes from the cat.

If for any reason you are going to show some skin or expose your feet or toes, kindly wash your feet and apply a good moisturizer. There`s nothing as bad as seeing hamattan bitten feet underneath a fantastic pair of shoes. Ladies lets not forget to change our nail polish frequently too.

Have you heard?

Scarlett Johannson is in a romantic buzz with Sean Penn. What i find quite amazing is how Penn who is 50 and twice her age was able to persuade this lovely damsel that he still got game.

Halle Berry has found love in the arms of Oliver Martinez. Having recently broken up with Gabriel Aubry fashion model and baby father this pretty 44 year old woman won`t let critics, a custody suit, paparazzis, and even age keep her from falling in love all over again.
Onika Tanya Maraj was born on the 8th of December 1984 in Trinidad. The 26 year old songstress grew up in Queens Newyork and has been active in the industry since 2004. A lot of controversies are amiss about this sexy sensation rocking the hip hop industry. The question everyone is asking is how real is Niki`s almost perfect body? 80% say she got inplants. what do you think?

Does my hairdo ROCK? Meet my hair models

I have observed that a womans beauty is complimented by a gorgeous hairdo.some women rock the boyish, i dont give a rats ass look while some wear it long in the brazillian way.Can you tell a womans mood by the way she wears her hair? I say YES! if she is sexy, tacky, simple, nerdy, boyish, divalicious or just scruffy her hair will tell it all.

The very lovely Munachi

My traumatic experience at the 14th city people awards

It was going to be a fabulous show, the colour of the day was black and silver. The event venue was the Balmoral Hall at oregun in Ikeja the very capital of our own Lagos state.
I showed up in the lovely balck slimed to fit monostrap knee lenght dress by river island.it was the most hugging and flattering dress in my closet i could hardly take a giant step in that outfit but i felt chic in it.
The event was slated for 2pm, the venue was set the red carpet was ready ,the security was in place and the paparazzi`s were all over the place.
At exactly 3.45pm i arrived at the venue to my suprise the hall was 80% filled.Guests were seated and drinks and small chops was being served. The comperes made their way to the stage and the event started in earnest.
I spotted Abah Folawiyo, Genevieve Nnaji,Tuface Idibia, Florence Ita-Giwa, Mrs Pamela Adedayo, Nigga Raw, Tiwa Savage , Mr. & Mrs Ubosi and a host of other top celebrities in the tent and i knew that more was yet to come.
Segun Obe thrilled us with his version of the national anthem and Mc shakara dished out some of his jokes while we drank and made new friends. I was having fun chatting away with this fine young man beside me. Head master equally took the stage for a bit.
we had only witnessed a few awards 4 to be precise when Abah Folawiyo was called to the stage to pick up an award for lifetime achievement when suddenly someone yelled out from the crowd “THE CURTAIN IS ON FIRE” i immediately got up to leave the crowded venue with my friend,we had only managed to get past our table when the fire took over the venue. All i could hear was screaming and the sound of glass smashing, something that sounded like gas and people tripping over and falling to the ground. It was horrible! Soon the entire tent was filled with smoke and we all had to push ourselves out of a single entrance.
How i managed to get out so fast in that river island master piece and 6inches shoe is still a miracle without tripping or falling. Thank God my friend held my hand firmly to keep me from the stampede.
I was in shock for hours people were running on the street without shoes, some had left their bags behind. Ladies who were the apples of the carpet had just run out to the streets stripped of all their glamour and panache. Now i have a small idea of how it feels to behold death or better still how horrifying hell will be for those who choose to go there.
I heard that the fire which may have wounded or killed hundreds of people was caused by the negligience of a lady who was cooking close to the tent. Unblievable!
Well peeps good news or intriguing news is the Balmoral hall is almost done and the show will go on…. yes people the city people will be redoing the show at the same venue on the 1st of May.
come in fire proof outfits this time or bring a fire extinguisher along.
