Popular Nigerian Hollywood actor Gbenga Akinnagbe visited Nigeria for the first time ever in December 2010 for 3weeks.
For those who dont know some of his movie credits include the taking of pelham 123, edge of darkness,the barbers shop,the savages, lottery ticket, the wire, the good wife to name a few.
while in Nigeria he did a series of interviews where he talked about the impression he had of ngeria before his home coming and his new found passion to revisit his home land. Though Gbenga was born in Washington DC over three decades ago this young man is certainly not ignorant when it comes to his Nigerian heritage.He looks forward to visiting his home country more often and is quite open to working with the Nollywood industry.
Some of his favourite hangouts while in nigeria included the palms, fastfoods,the ilashe beach resort and some fun clubs.Some of the media houses that hosted him include Ovation international magazine,Silverbird group,Coolfm,Wazobia fm, Galaxy Tv, City people, Nigezie & Sound city.
Some of the people Gbenga met during his short trip include Banky W who was trilled, the executive governor of Lagos state who was very receptive, Seun Oloketuyi Publisher best of Nollywood,Joke Silva & Olu jacobs veteran Nollywood actors, Dele Salako ace reporter for ovation ,Elfreda Rowland to mention a few.
He hooked up with Nzinga Blake co cast on the barbers shop, Hope Wilson known for her role in the movie i can do bad all by myself and Lucky the movie director from Canada.
He had fun.
